SMTP Relay Service
ePriority now offers SMTP relay service. This allows clients to add
triggers to their websites or other automated processes to send email
based on real-time events. Rather than building/sending a batch,
clients can have their software hand a single email message to
ePriority for delivery.
Using the ePriority SMTP Relay service is no more difficult than sending a
message from your desktop mail client. With minimal setup required, any
application can be empowered with transactional email support with extended
tracking and scheduling features. For more information please see the
Relay Mail Service Guide.
Extended Message Tracking
Our last release included support for Message Receipt Notification
and Message Viewing Notification. This is yet another method
(supported by various mail clients) to track when a message has
actually been placed in a user's mailbox. The combination of these
tracking features is sure to bring back a high rate of positive
recept confirmations.
Automated Batch Reporting
Clients can receive email reports of a batch's status. This includes:
- First Attempts Completed
- Delivery Window Met
- Delivery Window Not Met
- Processing Failed
- Processing Succeeded
- Delivery Initiated
- Delivery Completed
Clients can identify what reports should be mailed to what email
addresses as part of their profile settings (the configuration can
differ depending on the kind of batch sent through ePriority).
Service/Account Level Reporting
In addition to the Automated Reports, ePriority is now offering
clients the ability to report across all batches sent through their
account. This includes event percentages and hourly traffic
breakdowns.
Ad Hoc Mailer Enhancements
The ad hoc mailing tool at epriority.com has been integrated with our
delivery profile module. We are making steps in the direction of
requiring all mail processed by epriority to identify a delivery
profile (created by the client). This profile will define scheduling
and tracking behaviors required for billing and SLA purposes.
Also, the ad hoc tool provides an interface for directly accessing
reports and browsing through previous submissions. This
functionality will be extended in a future release to include
editing, testing and re-submission.
ePriority Branding
For a potential discount on mailing costs (talk with product
management), clients can choose to turn on ePriority branding. A
small banner will be inserted at the bottom of messages, indicating
that the message was sourced by ePriority. Again, this feature is
available through the delivery profile configuration so it can affect
billing.
Feature Tags
To turn on message view tracking, link tracking and other upcoming
features, a formal HTML tag has been introduced. Clients can use
this tag in their email content to trigger other tracking or message
processing features.
Message Snapshot
ePriority is now storing a sample email from each batch it
processes. In the next release we will make a tool available for
viewing the snapshot. This will provide clients with the added help
of identifying the contents of an old mailing. We intend to keep
this data for historical purposes.
